All about Adrian

This is Adrian, my youngest. He's the entertainer of the family. He had a "Backyard Boxing" gig for fun in Indianapolis August 18Th. It was fun and entertaining. It was the only place guys AND even gals ~ could go and get in a fight without getting arrested. My husband and I did the photos and my other son, Daryl did the videos. I hope to see those one day. It was a hoot to see!!!
Well, some of us who didn't know Adrian's connections thought the gig was over before it got started. Cops showed up in groves. UGH!!! Mama not gonna see her boy play!!! Well, they happened to be friends of his. They just wanted to make sure with the beer and all that was being served, that the underaged kids were carded and not subjected to the alcohol. My kid know important people. While I was staying with him, he tried to have another Cop friend put a scared into me. Said my rental car had warrants on it. I am not ever disrespectful to the law mind you, but I said to him "You're full of $%^&". I knew it couldn't be real. If it had been real, I may have had a different bed that night. It was a good laugh.
Adrian is my youngest son. He has a son that is just like him. I thought the mold was broken after I had him, but I guess not. River is a good kid (when mom and dad aren't looking). His first week of school he got a good report. Yippee!!! Adrian's wife is Brandi. I couldn't ask for a better daughter-in-law. She was a lot of fun to hang out with on the trip.

Today it was Hot Hot Hot!!! I didn't feel like putting up a Blog...

It was also very hot when we were in Washington D.C. (August 24 & 25) visiting the White House and all the other wonderful sites there. Hans (my hubby) says "Every American should have the opportunity to make this trip." We ended the day with a frosty drink from Starbucks before getting on the subway.

Into my Artwork...

Well, things are getting back to normal. I had my first day back to my aqua aerobics class. It feels good to be missed!

This is some of my Hand Sewn Greeting Cards. I sell them for $5 each. I have many more and none are alike. I just go with my mood. Most are done with scrap paper or grocery bags or recycled box paper. These ones are 5x7 size. I have a smaller size as well that I make.

The above are two of my photo cards. The leaf is a hand colored from a Black and White photo. The Windmill is a bit of a tricky shot that I constructed.

Well, that is the Artsy part of Me.

There is No Place Like Home

There is No Place Like Home!!! We arrived home safely yesterday ahead of schedule. My husband Hans and I unpacked and then shopped. We had no food in the house. Only 10 messages on the voicemail. Mostly were from Best Buys saying our repair was done. Funny thing is we told them we wouldn't be back till after the first of September. Then we were fast asleep by 9pm. I believe we were still on East Coast time.

We were up fast and early this morning at 6 am. Still had to take a nap. Jet Lag!!! I loaded all the vacation photos to the computer this morning. But still will have to wait to load to the site. EDIT!!! EDIT!!! EDIT!!!

None the less...The day is beautiful...the car is dirty still (so what)...Everyone here is happy. Life is good.
