Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Today is my official 600 Month Birthday. My first activity of the day was to go to a CPR training class with my husband at the Gold's Gym that we attend. We both passed with flying colors. We both got two answers wrong. We didn't cheat!!! We got two different answers wrong. LOL So I guess if anyone was in trouble, we'd be able to assist in a pinch. Let's see what else goes on for the rest of the day.

OK...so I've dropped Hans off at work now and went to try on some pants for the trip (to Indiana). There was some awesome deals that couldn't be passed up to at least try on. So I did! And boy was I happy!!! One size smaller...Yippee. What a great birthday present to myself. I still have 5 pounds to go on this set of goals. Then I will reassess it. So two new pairs of pants for under $20. Can't beat that.

It made my day to hear from Pepsea up in Oregon. My dear sweet friend. She has to boys. Sounds like they are day and night. But again they are years apart too.

Now it's time to relax till I go pick up Hans from work. We are going to go see cousin Alan play in his band, Bob Adams and the Thirsty Boots.

Fruit or No Fruit

Well, we are told we need so much fruit in our daily diets. But you do have to remember...not Every Body is alike. Take mine for instance. My husband and I started the South Beach diet January 1st (officially) and the first two weeks is no fruit or any sugar of any kind. No white stuff like flour, pasta or breads or rice. After that you can start introducing things back in. That first two weeks I lost 8 lbs right off the bat. Then I continued the first two weeks cycle so I could lose more and I did. Well at 12-13 lbs loss I leveled off and that is where the weight remained after introducing the Step 2 process. This got me to thinking that maybe the fruit was affecting my progress. Well, once again I've cut out the fruit and WALLA!!! The scale is moving downward.

The point of all this is not to give up on your goals. I so wanted to figure out why I couldn't lose weight and for me it was in doing what the health experts are telling us what we need to do. So it doesn't always work for Every Body. I thought Corn was my only demon to avoid. So until I get that slender look again, I will have to be selective on my fruit plate.
