Hank was rushed to the Emergency Room on Friday 10/24/08.
He wasn't feeling well. So his mom laid him on her chest to help him rest.
He started to turn blue and she called 911 right away.
They have done all kinds of test and still have no diagnosis.
He stopped breathing 3 times from Friday to Saturday.
This is a baby that is all smiles most of the time.
Sunday Hank's smile came back. However, they are going to keep him a third night.
Still they have no diagnosis.
Keep praying for Hank. I know that is what gave him his smile back today.
Thank you,
Auntie Nene, Auntie Odona, Rosemary, Christie, Auntie Felita, Odalys, Teresa & Alan and everyone else that has prayed for him.

Dreaming about my Cousins'

This morning I was dreaming about my cousins and my mom and stepdad were there. It seems I was partly at Grandma's house (22nd Street) and partly my house I grew up in (Gilmore Avenue) and later we were at Kookie & Janice's house they grew up in (Orange County). Kookie was there. Christie was there with Courtney. It was my life pre-Hans.

I dreamt I moved out of the parents' house and was to live in a room that belonged to the company I worked for. But when I got there I didn't like it. It had no privacy and was just all wrong. So I went back to my parents house and I kept wanting to talk to them but kept getting interruptions. They would show up and then they would take a walk because mom was wanting to do things she wasn't sure of. I was reminishing with Kookie and Uncle Tom about the room that used to be hers and Janice's in the Osmond craze days. The dream was all mixed up.

Then was Christie and Courtney that were entertaining us with crafts and just being their sweet selves. Funny thing was I never did get to talk to my parents about getting the room back. They had finally painted it from the Hot Pink that it was when I was growing up. (I don't do pink much anymore these days.) So anyway...not much of a story, just silly thoughts from a dream...What does it all mean?

Three Weeks Since Surgery

It's been three weeks since I had my surgery. I am doing very well. I have waited six long years to have my pain taken away. I went from two - four or five Davocets a day to none now. Isn't that great? It's been one week now that I stopped taking the heavy stuff. Now if I have any pain at all I only need Tylenol.
I had a Cervical Spine Fusion of Disks 5, 6 & 7. The disks were to be removed and cages put in and should have only taken two hours to do. Well, it was so bad when they got in there it took four hours. Bone growth was in the way that should not be there. After which the doctor told my husband that I should have been complaining much more. Darn...I missed my chance. Anyway, I think he did a great job. I am not wearing a wrist brace anymore and I don't have migraines any longer either.

I want to Thank Everyone that were praying for my recovery and safe surgery. It was all worth it!!!

Memory Quilt

This is one of the many projects I have been working on since I have been laid up preparing for my surgery. It is a Memory Quilt in honor of my Uncle Mike. He was a wonderful person to everyone. Took better care of everyone other than himself. Most of the quilt is made up from his clothes that he wore towards the end. Pants and shirts mostly. I used some buttons in the quilt as well.

July 4th, 2008

Happy 4th of July to everyone!!!
Be safe in whatever you do.
Remember why we celebrate this day.
This is what our soldiers are fighting for,
to keep our independence alive.
Never forget Jesus died to save our Souls
& the Military fight to keep our freedom.

Life is too Short

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right…
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Just about everyone seems to think that life should be easy.
God promises He can make it worth the effort.

And then there is this excerpt from an email I received:
Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back.
Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems
that we may not even notice that we've let them fly away.
Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong
that we forget what's right and wrong.
Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late.

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that you are a treasure in my life.

Production Meeting

Do you see what we seen? An image in the floor of the garage.

Anyway, I was at my friend LP's house for a Production Meeting to shoot a video with her. How exciting is that? While we were sitting in the studio talking someone noticed the image on the floor. To some it may look just like oil spots. But if you were there, it looked like much more.

The video will be of a song written by LP. After hearing the directions of what we will be doing, I got very excited. Can't wait to see the finished product. God be with everyone that participates.

Elvis Costello & The Police

I was invited to go to a concert with my good friend Rosemary.
She just told me it was The Police. Didn't know it would be Elvis Costello too.
It was at the Hollywood Bowl. We shuttled in. That is the best way to get there. Not only because of the gas prices but alse the parking prices are insane. It's $5 to take the Shuttle.
It's $20 to park there, plus the cost of a tank of gas nowadays.
The sign is beautiful. I am glad to get this shot while it still looks good and is still standing.
You never know what can happen in the future.
Some photos with the digital. Couldn't get closer.
Off the screen...
