Beef and Boards~

Went out on our Anniversary Dinner Play at Beef and Boards.  Tonight's production was Legally Blonde.  I can't believe how great it was.  Loved it.  I got my t-shirt and my stretch ring that I started getting each year as a remembrance.   After the show we stopped at the bar where Adrian was having his annual birthday bash for all the March birthdays.  I can't drink alcohol right now so we said our hellos and then took some pictures and left.  The party was rockin'!

At the dinner my hands started getting hot.  I had to keep asking for ice to cool my hands down.  After we left the bar, I was pretty wiped out.

Day 2 of Chemo #5

Day two of Chemo 5 was all right. I went to a BC Group meeting. I learned a lot. Then I needed to kill some time being I couldn't get my booster shot for a while yet and I was in the same area. Didn't want to waste gas by driving all the way home and then come back. So I tried to stop in the new Jack in the Box just for the sake of nostalgia. I know that kind of food isn't the best thing for me right now. Any way I used my allowance to get some things from the Dollar Tree. Picked up some things I could use and then went to Big Lots and got a fan for my Laptop. Seems to be working well. $10, not bad. Then I stopped over to the hospital to see if I can get in early or just wait till they can take me in (20 hours after chemo is the target). They took me right in. Such a great deal. My potassium level got back to normal with the help of the medicine. Great deal. Came home and Hans made chili. Yum. He brought me my new Swish medicine so I can eventually taste food right again. It worked. I will be able to taste my food at the Dinner Play tomorrow night for our 8th Anniversary. Celebrating tomorrow, but it is on the 13th. Now it's time to relax.

Field Trip and Chemo~

Today was my 5th Chemo. I came through it just fine. But while I was getting the new medicine, my hands and feet were put on ice. When I lifted my hands they went way hot. At first I thought it was from the laptop. But then I lifted the other hand and it was hot too. It was like my hands were having hot flashes. The nurse and I both laughed about it. But I guess the doc knew what he was doing when he ordered the ice packs. 

I also went to a field trip to a Health Plex where they talked about the HIPPA and HITECH laws in Medicine. Our speakers name is Michael Jackson. How fun was that? Most of the people already worked in the field of Medical Billing and Coding.

All in all another good day even with the rain~

30 Years ago my twins were born.

Absolutely tired.
By the way, I got 2 A's on my test yesterday and I got my pin and certificate for my perfect attendance in the first MOD.

Take a Break~

Took a break from studying today. I was so tired when I got home. Insomnia last night. I did well on my two Medical Language tests. Talked to the counselor about my frustrations. She told me it was understandable that I would feel that way. There are some classes I should have taken prior to that first one. But all in all I am doing well in spite of it.

Later we met the Westsider group for Adrian's birthday celebration at Ginza's.
