Goodbye to Old, Hello to New...

Downsizing...
Vicki's Altima & Hans' S-10
Goodbye to two trusted old Vehicles that have served us well.
With the way times are and the high gas prices and me not having to drive to a job these days, we made an informed decision to downsize on our vehicles.
So off we went to the car dealers and smooth talkin' salesmen. We seen many cars we liked and disliked. New and used. Colors we liked and disliked. One consideration was that Mama Hass had to be able to access the vehicle with ease. Second consideration was we liked to bike ride. So we needed something we could load our bike up in to drive to different bike paths. Camping is another love. So the used Maxima that was only $20,000 and 11000 miles on it was out. That was calling out to Hans all afternoon. The first vehicle that called out to me was the Dodge Journey. It was great. I love gadgets~pockets~hideaway, functional compartments. That car was it for me. But then.........................................we kept looking...
Hans fell in love with the Chevy Equinox. They showed us a white one. I wasn't impressed yet. I was still thinking Journey. This was our third dealership of the day. He didn't feel the need to test drive the other cars. But when we were shown this Metallic Teal Equinox our journey took another turn, especially for me. I justified it later with choosing Chevy over Dodge. We test drove it. They made the sale. We were out of there by 10:30 pm. I think we got there about 4:30 pm. We were hungry and tired. I was going through separation anxiety with having to let go of my Altima. It took us a lot of places. Yet I was in love with the new vehicle. Mixed EMOTIONS for sure.
Well~we signed away the Altima. Goodbye my friend.

This is our Gift to ourselves for turning 50!!!
